new trimester

last trimester was a little busier .i was unable to contribute much to The Blog. in between i have made a lot of friends here and have lot of fun.we have done a lot of academic and non-academic activities.The best of them was MALL MANIA.
an in-campus event starting from 29 July to 31 July, 2008. The event was inaugurated by Shailesh Chaturvedi, cheif executive officer of Tommy Hilfiger.It was a very innovative activity done by students of retail,(i am also in retail),to enhance our entrepreneurial skills.Our task was to run a store for three days in college campus.we are divided into 10 groups.Each group has then taken a particular category by bidding against one other(just as in a mall).the categories were Food (Maharashtra ,Rajshthan+Gujrat,Delhi+Punjab ,Rest of India),apparel(I and II),Games(Gameek 1.0 and game theory),stationary and movie.I was in Maharashtra Food.Wonderful advertising campaign were run by Different stores.Stores were also able to pull sponsors such as Apple, Maruti, Domino’s, Subway and McDonalds.
The most interesting fact of mallmania was that it was run by students only.Everything starting from Finance ,marketing to invntary management was done by students only.
