The Retail Management programme students at Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida (BIMTECH) recently organised Mall Mania- an in-campus event starting from 29 July to 31 July, 2008. The event was inaugurated by Shailesh Chaturvedi, cheif executive officer of Tommy Hilfiger.

The students had set up stores pertaining to food, apparels, games and a cineplex. The food stores were divided into four pools of Punjab/Delhi (Salaam Punjab), Rajasthan/Gujarat (Swaad-ki-daandi), Maharashtra/Goa (Amchi Mumbai) and Rest of India. They exhibited the aura of the concept of 'Unity in Diversity'.

One of the Apparel stores offered varied clothing merchandise which catered to the diversified needs of the customers, another one offered Rajasthani Kurtis and accessories under the brand name “Apno Paridhan”. A store selling home furnishings by the name “Sparkk” too was on offer. Accessory brand 'Looks' became a hit among girls.

The game stores had a number of interesting games to offer such as Tambola and Treasure hunt.

The students, mentored by their seniors were able to rope in various famous brands such as Apple, Maruti, Domino’s, Subway and McDonalds.

last trimester was a little busier .i was unable to contribute much to The Blog. in between i have made a lot of friends here and have lot of fun.we have done a lot of academic and non-academic activities.The best of them was MALL MANIA.
an in-campus event starting from 29 July to 31 July, 2008. The event was inaugurated by Shailesh Chaturvedi, cheif executive officer of Tommy Hilfiger.It was a very innovative activity done by students of retail,(i am also in retail),to enhance our entrepreneurial skills.Our task was to run a store for three days in college campus.we are divided into 10 groups.Each group has then taken a particular category by bidding against one other(just as in a mall).the categories were Food (Maharashtra ,Rajshthan+Gujrat,Delhi+Punjab ,Rest of India),apparel(I and II),Games(Gameek 1.0 and game theory),stationary and movie.I was in Maharashtra Food.Wonderful advertising campaign were run by Different stores.Stores were also able to pull sponsors such as Apple, Maruti, Domino’s, Subway and McDonalds.
The most interesting fact of mallmania was that it was run by students only.Everything starting from Finance ,marketing to invntary management was done by students only.

HEY FRNDS FINALLY JOURNEY HAS BEGAIN,I AM ENJOYING DAYS IN BIMTECH.FOUNDATION CLASSES STRATED AND WE ARE HAVING 9 HRS CLASSES (9 AM TO 6 PM)!!! I M LOVING IT???HAVE LEARN A LOT OF THINGS IN MGMT, ECONOMICS AND ACCOUNTING.WILL DISSCUSS LATER BYE!!

today i have been to zoo with my brother.my brother is only 3 yr 'young'.and we spend very joyful time together!he is my best stress reliver i will be missing him a lot!!!

hey man welcome to bimtech.i am akash pgdm(rm)1styear.i am going to join bimtech on
1st june.tomarrow on 22 nd i will be leaving.i am very happy as i coming back to college life after 1 year gap.i will be leaving stressed professional life to enjoy my studies again.
